Bringing Nature Home | Bunk beds

You have spent countless hours perfecting your soil chemistry, you have carefully orchestrated the sunlight distribution to make sure that each plant in your garden gets exactly what it needs and you are very proud of your hard work. It’s time to let the garden expand into your home and lend its beauty to your living space.
Bringing a little nature into your home can be very simple or complicated. It really depends on to what extreme you want to take this project. The simplest way to do this is to stick to natural materials in your furniture choices. Get some wicker chairs for the living room and some hardwood bunk beds for the kid’s room. Decorate in natural colors like greens and browns with splashes of bright colors here and there.

bunk bedOnce you have bought those bunk beds and redesigned your home to have a more natural feel, you can start to think about bringing actual plants into your house. If you were to suddenly bring potted plants into your living room that is decorated in all pink and white they are going to stand out and look pretty awful actually. Get plants that produce fruit or flowers so that they can be the splash of color that you add to your home. Chili peppers are a great option because they come in a variety of beautiful colors and varieties, but they are still edible and useful.

Make sure that you place your new indoor friends someplace that gets a good amount of light. You don’t want to stick them behind those bunk beds where they won’t see any sun. On the other hand, you could get sunlight replicating lights and carefully time the amount of light they get each day.
One last consideration for those of us with children or pets, make sure that all of the plants you bring into your home are pet and child safe.

Green living is basically to live with the things which are environmental friendly and it helps to preserve the nature and environmental balance. It is about using less non renewable resources, less organic eating habits, ointments, conversing material and so on.

It has the relation with every thing for which humans cut down the trees for their living aid and sake. When the environment get misbalanced we also but naturally gets into trouble and hence to save your life, we need to stop cutting down the trees and should learn to consume thing which do not require you to cut down the trees and built more damage.

Walk as much as you can and avoid using vehicle until not necessary; save petrol and use electric vehicles:

Unless and until it is very necessary for you to use vehicle, avoid using it to save as much as non renewable fuel as you can. So short distances you can even have a walk or can even ride bicycles. This would not be only beneficial for your health but will also for the age of earth.

Green living can be quite beneficial, if you really commit yourself to opt for. With the inception of electrical vehicle, the problem of the consumption of petrol has been resolved to some extend, but not many people are in support to it. But if you really want to see the greenery around you for years to come then better is to promote and use the electric vehicle to avoid the use of non renewable fuels.  Guide to planting a tree like this would help you grow the greener future!

Home heaters & Air conditioning equipments changing temperature of the space:

You might be thinking that, home heaters and AC only change your room temperature, but my friend they impact badly on the temperature of the space. After all they consume heavy electricity and for which we produce lot of carbon foot prints by burning fossil fuel to generate electrical power. So better is to avoid using heater and ACs unless and until your body can sustain without them.
So, I would suggest living a green life and believing in green living, not only for the sake of saving the beautiful planet but also your own existence and life on earth.

How to Prepare Your Garden Pond for Cold Weather

Seeing as you’ve managed to locate this site means you have a healthy respect for how dangerous cold weather can be on your ponds health. Luckily you’ve come to the right place. What I aim to do is give you a list of helpful tips to make sure your pond remains healthy throughout winter but these tips can be used throughout the year. So let’s get going.

You will no doubt know where your oxygenatingplants are. If they are beginning to poke out of the water you should trim them down. The reason being, that if they are the ice will kill this part anyway and will create unnecessary pollution once it dies.

  • For the same reason fish out any leafs and foliage from the pond as they are also likely to cause pollution once the ice freezes over.
  • If you have any pond equipment like oxygenators and pumps get them serviced before the cold sets in.
  • Do not break up the ice with a hammer. The shockwaves could ricochet through the pond and kill all your fish. A better way to tackle this issue is to anchor a bottle to the pond and pour hot water into it to slowly melt the ice. This stops harmful gases building up.
  • Alternatively you could buy a pond heater which will keep your pond frost free.
  • Finally, if you do leave the ice on your pond with a small hole in the middle any build up of snow should be brushed off as it will block the light and halt photosynthesis.

So if you follow these simple tips your pond will come bursting out into spring healthy and raring to go. It’s not as much work as it sounds. No you’ll be able to sit back and relax on your favourite piece of gardenfurniture and admire your hard work.
